Ghanaian International and Arsenal star man, Thomas Teye Partey has been enstooled as chief in his home town in the Eastern Region of Ghana few days after missing out on Ghana’s recent Nations Cup qualifiers against Madascar.
Thomas Partey, who is currently out of the Black Stars squad due to jnjury has been honored in his hometown, Odumase Krobo as a chief and was also awarded for his exploits in Ghana’s game against Nigeria as well.
”]In a brief ceremony held in his hometown, Thomas was enstooled as chief of the town and was given the title “Mahefalor” by the Chief of Krobo Traditional Area, Nene Sakite II.
The title means “Defender of Krobo Traditional Area. It seems the player’s purpose on earth is to defend as he is a defensive midfielder in his playing career (laughs).

He was also awarded a “Team Leadership Award’ for his man of the match performance as Captain in the world Cup playoffs win against Nigeria in March 2022.
