Davido is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. He is the founder of Record label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) and is arguably one of the most adored musicians in Nigeria and other West African countries.

Parents & Siblings
He was born to Adedeji Adeleke, a business mogul and Vero Adeleke, a University lecturer. Davido is the youngest of five siblings.
He is the second born son of his father.
Davido dropped out of school in the University to focus pursue his dream of becoming a musician. He schooled at the British International School in Lagos, Nigeria.
From there, he moved back to the States where he was born at the age of 16 to continue his studies. He enrolled at Oakland University in Alabama to study business administration but later decided to drop out of school to focus on his music career.
After dropping out of school, he relocated to London to work on his vocals. He later returned to his homeland, Nigeria where his father convinced him to go back to school and he agreed.
David agreed to his father’s request and enrolled at Babcock University where graduated in 2015 with a degree in Music.
David’s success in the music industry has been credited to his rich background by some critics when in actual fact he really put in alot of effort backed by his great vocals.
After releasing a couple of single since he joined the music industry in 2010, David started working on his debut album in 2011 titled “Omo Baba Olowo. Songs from the album were released gradually from 2011 through to 2012.
The “Omo Baba Olowo” album had a mixture of Afrobeats and Hip Hop. Despite receiving some negative reviews after the release of his first debut album, he still managed to receive some nominations and won some awards as well.
“Omo Baba Olowo” won Best R&B/ Pop Album and was nominated for Album of the year at The Headies 2013. The album was AKSO nominated for Best Album of the Year at the 2013 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
After his debut album, he went on to release several hit singles like Gobe, skelewu, one of a kind, aye, Tchete etc.
He has also recorded other EPs and albums namely A Good Time, A Better Time, Son of Mercy. Davido has collaborations with other top acts like Tiwa Savage, Mayorkun, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Naira Marley, Tekno etc.
He has signed endorsement deals with the following brands; MTN, Guinness Nigeria, Infinix Mobile, Close Up, 1XBet, Pampers, Pepsi, Martell Blue Swift and Travelbeta

Davido has three children namely Hailey Veronica Adeleke, David Adedeji Adeleke Jr and Aurora Imade Adeleke.
He had his third son with his ex-girlfriend, Chioma. His other ex-girlfriend is Mya Yafai and is currently dating Vanessa Vafyl.
The singer is believed to be worth over $40 million as at 2022 making him arguably the richest musician in Nigeria.
