Entry Requirements For Diploma and Undergraduate Programmes 

  • All WASSCE holders must possess credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Social Studies / Integrated Science. Additionally, applicant must have credit passes in three elective subjects relevant to the course of study with an aggregate score not exceeding 36.
  • All SSCE holders must possess credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies. He or she must also have credit passes in three elective subjects that’s relevant to the course of study with an aggregate score not exceeding 24.
  • GBCE holders must possess credit passes in six subjects which must include 3 core subjects ie. English, Mathematics Integrated Science/ Social studies and three elective subjects relevant to the area of study.
  • Advanced level holders must have credit passes in at least 5 GCE ‘O’ level or it’s equivalent. Subjects must include English Language and Mathematics alongside at least two passes in subjects relevant to the course of study.
  • However, foreign applicants with any of the above qualifications from an accredited institution must email [email protected] for further information on how to apply online.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, American Grade 13 exams and other external qualifications that may be equivalent to either WASSCE, SSCE or GCE A Levels can also apply.
  • To qualify as a mature student, applicant must be at least 25 years of age and must be able to show documents to prove that indeed he or she is above 25. You will also be required to pass a mandatory entrance examination which will be conducted by UENR.
  • Candidates who will be writing their WASSCE exams can also apply as awaiting results.

How To Apply

  • Applications must be completed online by visiting https://admissions.uenr.edu.gh/
  • Enter your Voucher number and PIN
  • Follow the prompt to complete the online application
  • Print out a copy of the completed form, attach certified copies of certificates, results slips and birth certificate
  • Send your documents via mail to The Senior Assistant Registrar, Academic and Students’ Affairs Division, University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani
