Established in 1998, the teachers fund serves as a solidarity and retirement supplement scheme for members of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT). The fund provides lifestyle enhancing facilities to members in the form of loans and also gives members access to credit purchases.
Members are required to make a monthly minimum basic contributions of Gh¢50.00. It is worthy of note that members can opt to contribute more than Gh¢50.00.

The fund has introduced a USSD platform that grants you access to fund ID, Current Contribution (minus returns), increase contribution and request annual statement by email.
How To Register For GNAT Mutual Fund On Your Phone
To become a member of the GNAT Mutual Fund, you must first register because it is not all teachers who are members. You can do so by following the steps below;
- Dial *800# (available on all networks)
- Choose “Register”
- Enter your Staff ID
- Now enter a 6 digits passcode which can be obtained from the District GNAT Secretariat
Lastly, member fund ID will be displayed on phone onces registration is successful.
You can also check your fund ID after registering by following the steps below;
- Choose option 2 “Check ID”
- Enter your staff ID
- Your Fund ID will be displayed.

- Dial *800#
- Select option 4 “check total contributions”
- Enter your fund ID
- Your total contribution will be displayed.
