Popular Ghanaian singer Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, popularly known as Efya has revealed in an interview about how she was bullied back in the day in senior high school simply because her mother was famous.
It is not always cool being born with a silver spoon in your mouth as even rich kids have had their own share of troubles growing up. This includes singer, Efya who revealed that life growing up wasn’t so cool as it was normally stressful with lots of pressure on her.
Her only mistake was being a daughter of Nana Adwoa Awindor, host of the famous “Greetings from Abroad” show.
According to the singer, growing up was really stressful and there was a lot of pressure on her as a child. It was so bad that she was bullied back in the day in Yaa Asantewaa Senior High School simply because she is the daughter of a famous TV personality.
“It was very stressful. There was a lot of pressure. I got beaten up because of my mom when I got to secondary school,” she disclosed.
Fast forward to 2023 and she has managed to become one of the top female artistes in Ghana with multiple awards in her cabinet to show for it.
