Award-winning Kumawood comic actor, singer and entrepreneur, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin has been in the news lately after he revealed his intentions to become a member of parliament and has now opened up about how he will communicate with his constituents when elected into office.
The talented actor and singer is well-known in Ghana for his acting skills. However, he now believes he is ready to serve as an MP in his constituency to help solve the numerous challenges facing them.
He is of the view that language shouldn’t be a barrier when it comes to becoming an MP and believes that he has a lot to offer when elected into office.
He believes common sense is much bigger than English Language and that “we use common sense to speak English”.
“I am ever ready to assist the youth of my constituency with job creation. Nobody is lazy, but because there are no jobs, that is why the youth have become lazy.
“Very soon, Afigya Kwabre independent MPs, rich people and business people have come forward to support my bid. We are ready, and my campaign manager is Kwame Nkrumah Tikese of Okay FM so if there is anything, you can contact him.
“Excuse me to say, common sense is bigger than English. We use common sense to speak English so if I don’t understand English, I will speak Twi for it to be translated like what the Chinese do, especially their president.”
He made these comments in a recent interview with blogger Nkonkonsa in Cape Coast.
