Reigning VGMA new artiste of the year and favorite to win the ultimate at this year’s VGMA’s reveals that he is indeed making good money from his music.
Black Sherif has become one of the fans favorite artistes in Ghana over the past two years after his first and second sermons.
By then, he was “a sad boy” but today he is a happy man as he revealed in his recent interview with TV3. The Kwaku The Traveller hitmaker was a guest on the stations “Road to the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards” show where he was asked a few questions.
He was asked if the music he is doing is paying off and his response was in the affirmative. “Yes, that’s how we’re able to shoot my videos. If you study my videos from back then, they don’t look like the videos and picture we take now.”
The host then drew his attention to the fact that at a point they had to even shoot with a mobile phone and again his response was in the affirmative.
“Yeah, Farouk has been taking shots and videos of me for the longest time. Now though he has a bad (advanced) camera. so yeah it’s like that.”
He added that himself and his team had nothing from the get go hence whatever they know now is because they deliberately learnt it.
“because we had zero and hence had nothing to lose so everything we did, we were trying something and we’ve built up from there.”
