Joseph Kwame Kumah Biography

Joseph Kwame Kumah is a Ghanaian politician and educationist belonging to the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He is the current NDC MP for Kintampo North Constituency in the Bono East Region.

He hails from Sugliboi in the Bono East region and was born on January 24, 1974.

Joseph obtained his O Level in 1991, A Level in 1993. He got his first degree in B. Ed Social Science (Education) in 1999. He also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Administration (Administration) in 2010.

He again obtained a Master of Arts Local Government Administration and organisation in 2014.

Before venturing into politics, he worked as a professional teacher under Ghana Education Service and was a House 1 Master in the senior high school he was teaching at.

Joseph Kumah aka JAKALA beat off competition from Michael Sarkodie Baffoe of the NPP and Nana Boateng an Independent candidate at the 2020 polls.

He commissioned five mechanised boreholes on September 14, 2021 in Kadelso, Kunsu, Adomatifi, Tandine and Kawampe barely 9 months into office.

Joseph Kwame Kumah serves on the Judiciary and Education Committees of parliament.
