Beautiful scenes from the Ashanti region as the first gentleman of the land of Ashanti, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II replaces his Crown with a cap and goes planting.
It is not always that you get to see the King of the Ashanti kingdom dressed like an ordinary man. And even more so to see him doing any form of labour.
However yesterday was not just any day in Ghana as the country marked the day as “Green Ghana Day”. It is an initiative by the lands and natural resources minister that aims at planting some millions of plants across the country.

Development and our own human activities has affected our forest reserves which in turn has affected our climate change. It for this reason that the minister came up with this initiative and it’s nice to see great personalities getting involved.
One of such persons is Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as he replaced his Crown with a cap and goes planting to the delight of many.
