Samira Bawumia is a Ghanaian philanthropist and politician belonging to the New Patriotic Party. She is the wife of Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia. Her fashion sense is top notch and is admired by lots of Ghanaians.

Born Samira Ramadan on August 20, 1980 but is popularly known by Ghanaians as Samira Bawumia. She was born in Sabon Zongo in Accra.
Education
Samira Bawumia started schooling at Answarudeen Islamic School at Fadama and then to Alsyd Academy in Accra. From there, she went to Akosombo International School (AIS) and then Mfantseman Girls Secondary School.
Samira Bawumia passed her SSCE and had admission to KNUST where she studied BA. Social Science in Law and Sociology and Technology. She continued to GIMPA for her Masters degree in Business Administration where she graduated as the Best Student.
Career
Samira Bawumia was a philanthropist/advocate before she became a second lady and still finds time to do her philanthropic works. She is the founder and CEO of Samira Empowerment & Humanitarian Projects (SEHP).
SEHP is a non profit organization established to empower the underprivileged in Ghana. It aims to do this through diverse social intervention projects to improve lives.
She donated some library books in November 2019 to Police Basic Schools in the country. This is to inculcate the habit of reading in children. The initiative is dubbed “Library in the box” which aims at making books available to schools.
Family/ Personal Life
She is the sister of NDCs Mohammed Adamu Ramadan who is the current MP for Adenta Constituency. Her father, Ahmed Ramadan was a former Chairman of People’s National Convention (PNC).
She is very fluent in almost five local languages namely Mamprusi, Fanti, Twi, GA and Ga.
