Stonebwoy is a Ghanaian dancehall, reggae and afropop musician. He is the CEO of Burninton Music Group and is arguably one of the best musicians in Ghana at the moment. As a result, we take a look at who he really is .
Livinstone Etse Satekla
Date of Birth
5th March 1988 in Ashaiman, Ghana.
Livingstone had his secondary education at Methodist Day Secondary School in Tema and obtained his High School Certificate. He completed in the same year group as Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie .
He took a break from school for some time but later enrolled in University of Professional Studies for a bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 2013.
The dancehall sensation discovered his talent at a very young age. He started doing music as far back as when he was is primary school where he noticed his potential as a scriptwriter and lyricist.
Livingstone cut his professional teeth under Samini’s record own record label. It was under Samini that he recorded and released his first hit single titled “Climax” where he featured his boss Samini. He also recorded Mad Ghetto Love whiles under Samini.
These two songs were massive hits as they earned him nominations at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. He then capitalised on the fame he got to release his first album titled “Grade 1 Album”.
Three more albums followed in the subsequent years; Necessary Evil 2014, Epistles of Mama 2017 and Anloga Junction 2020. He also has several hit singles and has gone on tours in Europe and the USA.
He was signed by Zylofon Music in 2017 on a two years contract as part of business man Nana Appiah Mensah’s desire to make the Music Industry strong. The contract expired in 2019.
Stonebwoy showed support to the embattled businessman when Menzgold was shut down and NAM1 was appreciative of what Stonebwoy had done. He posted a picture of Livingstone on 18 April 2019 thanking him for defending him.
He is currently a brand ambassador for “Tecno Mobile” and “Big Boss”.
He is the founder of the “Livingstone Foundation”. The foundation announced a sponsorship package for five students of Tema Methodist Day Senior High School in January 2017.
He opened his official Bhim merch shop in Ashaiman in 2019 where proceeds from the shop are used to fund his foundation.
He is a multiple award winner from both domestic and international award schemes.

He is married to Dr. Louisa Ansong Satekla and are blessed with two adorable kids called Catherine Jidula Satekla and L. Janam Joachim Satekla.
