Mohammed Ismail Sharrif, popularly known as Black Sherif had the last laugh as he was crowned “Artiste of the Year” at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on Saturday night, May 6, 2023.
The “Kwaku The Traveller” hitmaker had a superb year under review and it’s only normal that he walked home with the ultimate award on the night.
After losing out on the “Album of the Year” category to King Promise, Black will at least be proud to be acknowledged as the Artiste of the year.
He beat off competition from Sarkodie, King Promise, KiDi, Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle and Piesie Esther.
